BelAir - I don't know much about cars other than most are ugly rolling uninspired hunks of boredom. Every once in a while though an automotive designer creates a classic. This BelAir is a fine example - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI

BelAir Taillight - Fins to the left of me, fins to the right. I imagine Jimmy might have had this in mind when he wrote that song. Okay the song had nothing to do with this car, but you try writing witty captions for all these photos. - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI

Cleat - Not exactly sure why athletes wear these on their feet for better traction, but they do. ... What? ... Oh ... Apparently that's a different kind of cleat, go figure. - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI

Crab Pots 1 - One question: What are these pots doing on the dock? Crabs are resourceful, sure, but they are not going to climb a piling, hop in an empty pot and then wait to be steamed and placed on my dinner plate. Get these suckers in the bay, toot sweet. - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI

Crab Pots 2 - More pots on land means less crabs on my plate. Remind me not to write these captions when I'm hungry. - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI

Crab Pots 3 - This is getting ridiculous. Instead of writing captions, I'm steaming water and melting butter. I need a crab fix, stat! - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI

Little White Church - This tiny church seats either 40 strangers or 100 close friends. It's a wee-church. It's pocket-sized, it's collectible. - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI

Old Car, Older Garage - Or is the car older than the building? Did they have garage doors for horses and carriages? I'm a photographer, not a historian. - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI

Old Wooden Hull - Wood this old shouldn't float. As a matter of fact, it should just be sawdust or toothpicks. But somehow this old hull not only stays intact, but afloat. - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI

Rusty Anchors - Yup, I said(okay, wrote) it, anchors. Oh sure, at one time they were railroad car wheels, but now they have been recycled as anchors. Rusty, chipping, kinda nasty anchors, but anchors none the less. - Solomons Island, MD - Long Beach Island, LBI
